We are a class of 5 year olds at Eastern Hutt School in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. This blog is where we proudly share our amazing learning during our very first year at school.
We have been learning all about the brilliant and beautiful letter Bb!
We have been trying extra hard to form the letter correctly. Bb is tricky! We get muddled with Dd.
We know the sound Bb makes. When we see words that start with Bb we know the first sound that word will make! This week we blew some beautiful bubbles and wrote some beautiful stories about them. Watch us having lots of fun blowing bubbles!
We also made some bubble prints. We added food colouring to make the bubbles colourful. We put a squirt of dishwashing liquid into the container and then we had to blow carefully through the straw We had to concentrate so we didn't suck the mixture up into our mouths! It was hard work but lots of fun...
We made big bubbles and little bubbles.
Afterwards we gently pressed a piece of paper down on top of our bubbles. We cut them out and hung them in our classroom on some silver string.
